Comodo Enters Beta Stage

I spoke with Judy Shapiro over at Comodo a little while ago, and it looks like their firewall has left Alpha stage as of today, and is now entering Beta.
Comodo has a series of free products including Comodo Firewall, Comodo Anti-Malware, Website Authentication, Comodo Antivirus, and Email Security Certificate.
I have myself only used their Anti-Malware [...]

A Few Google Toys to Play With

As many of you know, I recently let go of my privacy issues, and joined the online gathering called me.dium.com. I figured at this point, what else did I have to lose? I decided to go ahead and get all the cool Google services I have lusted over for quite some time now.

Advertising Your Site, and a Cool Firefox Extension

I have, as some of you know, been out advertising this week. I haven’t done too badly. When I started several days ago, my Google listings were at about 45,000. Last time I checked today, it was at 278,000. This from only clicking on buttons, and filling out endless forms asking for the same information.

Firefox Bookmark Toolbar… Not Enough Space?

Since I have started blogging, I have had a greater need for space on my bookmark toolbar. I have it set up to only use icons, rather than words. I discovered this cool little trick when using Microfirefox as my browser’s skin. I have no clue why this works with this skin, but [...]

ShadowMyth’s Social Networking Adventure

The last couple of days I have been working on increasing my social network, so that I can increase my readership. I have been on Tribe.net now for quite some time, and I have to say, their setup rules. Unfortunately almost no one else on the place actually uses their ultra cool features. It seems [...]

Happy Birthday Chris!

According to a 2005 article in the Seattle Times:
“Mention Chris Pirillo on your blog or Web site and, soon enough, he’ll show up with a comment.
This happens so often that bloggers call it “The Pirillo Effect.” Pirillo, it seems, is always online, checking for his name and ready to jump into the conversation.”
Wikipedia says:
Chris Pirillo [...]

Programs on My System

Every few months I go out and pile through a lot of the new software that is available. I will often try up to three or four programs that do the same function, and see which one I like best. As time goes on, I often end up deleting programs that once served my purposes, [...]

Illegal Downloading? Comcast Knows.

A friend of mine told me that a couple months ago, she received an unusual email from Comcast. She said that it was a warning, and cited her as having illegally downloaded something using Emule. It was quite specific in stating what the downloaded material was, and what company was going to sue your ass [...]
