Hell no gun control doesn’t affect crime. That said, I think it DOES reduce the accidents such kids getting a hold of it because they are curious and those instances where immature people grab a gun to resolve some minor issue between family or friends instead of talking things out. But, for anyone in the government (Feds or state) to tout gun control as some anti-crime issue is a joke.

C’mon, laws only mean something to those who abide by them…last time I looked most criminals have an inherent contempt for the law and those who enforce it and I doubt they are worried about breaking some law regarding carrying a weapon when the crime they want to commit is far more violent.

Great, we gun control laws…yipppeee! All crime should cease now…get real and wake up.

Personally, I would never carry a gun even if I was allowed but that’s just my morality and judgment. I’m just not willing to risk my family’s safety just to have some false sense of security. Besides, a baseball bat or crowbar works just as well on an intruder and you can safely keep them by your bed ;-)

To be honest, I do not own a gun either. I am more predispositioned towards primitive style weaponry, guns are just too loud. If someone does break into my home, they are seriously in trouble, regardless of whether I own a gun or not. I believe though we all should have the right to choose our weapon of choice, and not be told what can and cannot have.
