ShadowMyth’s Bookmarks: Save Money

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am downsizing my 1500+ bookmark collection, so that I can find things more easily. The first folder I will be going through, is my money folder. This folder contains anything to do with shopping, paying bills, comparing prices. etc. I will share with you whatever interesting links I think you may be able to use.

Category: Saving Money, Product Reviews, etc.

  • Property Disposal: This is a federal site for land the government is trying to unload.
  • Guide to Federal Government Sales: This is a general guide on how to buy things at discounted prices through the various government agencies. Houses, office supplies, cars, etc.
  • BestStuff: This site will give you product news and reviews.
  • The Attorney’s Hall of Shame: Investigate your attorney before choosing which one will represent you.
  • My 3 cents: Consumer reviews and news.
  • Planet Feedback: Express your own feelings over products and services, and read about the experiences of others.
  • Rate The Offers: This is only to rate your expereinces with free product offers, such as free iPods, etc.

Save on Books, CD’s etc.

  • Book Crossing: This is pretty cool, and I got into it for awhile, but I just do not have the time anymore. Imagine a library that is everywhere and nowhere, and you have Book Crossing. Give books and get books for free.
  • Book Mooch: Another book sharing service, but this one is more direct than Book Crossing.
  • Oodle: This is a service pretty much like Craig’s list. Buy, sell, rent, give away, etc.
  • Full Books: This is a large resource of free online books.
  • Zunafish: Trade with others your DVD’s, CD’s books, video games, etc. $1 per trade.
  • Peer Flix: Trade DVD’s, $1 a trade.

Internet Services:

  • NoCharge: Free dial up internet for much of Western Washington and New England.
  • NetZero: Up to 10 hours a month of free Internet access a month.
  • I Love Free Wifi: Free WiFi access points in the U.S..

Phone Services

  • 1-800-411-SAVE: Has commercials, not as good as Google’s 411 service. Free.
  • Craig’s Number: Free phone numbers for online privacy.
  • Gizmo Call: Use your web browser to call around the world for free.
  • Ring Tone: Free ring tones, wall papers, etc. for your phone.
  • Mologogo: A free GPS tracking service using your mobile phone to keep in touch with friends and family.
  • Cell Swapper: Get out of your cell phone contract, and trade it with someone else.
