Intentioning: The Power is Yours

Everything we think, helps create the reality we are currently living in. Because thought is not fixed, this means we have control over our reality. Reality is much more of a mutable thing than most perceive it as. The more you see it’s flexibility, the more you can take advantage of it. This can be done in part, through the act of conscious intentioning.
Intentioning is extremely powerful, but takes patience and time to master. The basis of it though is quite simple, and almost anyone can do it. Here are some examples of intentioning:
- You are playing pool with your friends, and normally, you suck. This time though, you are using intentioning. As you hold the cue stick, you focus on the ball, and where you are working to land it. See the ball in your mind going exactly where you want it to go; imagine the whole shot from beginning to end, as you line it up. Feel your personal power running through the stick, and overcoming all obstacles to the ball’s ultimate destiny. Focus, and strike. This first time your games improves by an astonishing 40%, and your friends are saying you must just be having a lucky day.
- You mother-in-law is really a jerk when she visits, and situations always end up tense and uncomfortable. Before she arrives, go over in your mind, how you would like things to go. Focus on her in your mind, and see her being more amiable, and you relating to her in a more positive way. Really feel and see the situation, connecting with it as deeply as you can. When she arrives, keep this intention in your consciousness. Work toward guiding the situation toward your desired outcome. This time she is a little less bitchy than usual, and your headache is nowhere near as bad when she leaves.
- You are on your way to work, and you are tired of the traffic lights turning red at every intersection. You focus on seeing in your mind’s eye, all of them turning green as you approach. These traffic lights are there to serve you, and they will be happy to cooperate with you. The drive is a little more pleasant, and you avoided a couple lights that are always red when you come through.
At first, you may encounter resistance. This resistance can come from several places. The first resistance for many people, is the unconscious addiction they have come to have, for negativity. They want to believe that things can be cool, and work out, but what if it doesn’t? They do not want to set themselves up for a fall, by believing in something, and then getting screwed over.
Some people actually have an addiction to feeling sorry for themselves, and this can greatly hinder the process. Many, many personal issues can get in the way. The best thing though is, that after awhile of doing this, many of these issues will fade away. Intentioning creates a feeling of personal power, and helps an individual to meet up to their potential.
Another possible hindrance, is the problem of cause and effect. We all have created past patterns in our lives, that now create the life we are living. These past patterns sometimes take a bit to break through. In the process of breaking through old situations, you can become suddenly flooded with a seeming streak of bad luck.
Lets say that you are a semi negative person, and you decide to try intentioning. Everyone is used to you being a jerk, and they normally retaliate in kind. If suddenly your behavior changes, they may think you are up to something, and suddenly distrust you. Or perhaps you have created a pattern for yourself that all traffic lights will turn red when you pass by, and you are downright superstitious about it. Breaking through this pattern could be difficult. Whatever, your situation, just be patient, it will all work out in the overall.
Intentioning and the results it brings, are an innate part of this reality. Like the laws of gravity, it has no moralistic way it works, it just is. You send out into the world your electromagnetic pattern, and it will almost always, return to you what is yours. This is not karma, or some godly dictate, but a universal law that is impartial. There is no good, or evil in this picture, merely the results of what you have put out. If you want to change what you are getting back, change what you are putting out. It really is that simple.
Start with something small to build up your confidence, and work your way up. The possibilities are absolutely limitless.

Hmmmm…. all sounds a little dubious to me.
To use your example. I do suck at pool though I know the angles I need to hit and with all the best will and mindset in the world I still suck at it. HOWEVER, I do occasionally get lucky. This is not due to some mental waves being put forth by myself though.
That said, I do believe that those who constantly expect bad things to happen will see them come to reality because they end up putting themselves physically into a place where said bad thing does occur.
As to ‘imagining’ that all will be well - well I don’t. I frequently and fervently believe I’m going to win the jackpot in the lotto. Do I?

You have to REALLY believe to help make things, and it does not sound like you do. One night about 12 years ago, a group of friends and myself focused on winning on a particular lottery ticket. The next day after the lottery, we checked the results. Every single number was exactly one number off…and there is no way you can tell me that was coincidence. The energies in the situation were not quite lined up, but I KNOW it is possible. That is why you start with small things, and work your way up. I started practicing this art since I was 15, and now I can manifest things within a day or less of putting them out…sometimes almost instantaneously. But, I had to break through a lot of societal, religious, and personal issues, to get to the point I am at now. ..25 years of working at it. So, you are judging the situation through limited trials and experiments Shausha, which really isn’t giving it a fair chance. It sounds though like you have the ability to make this method work for you, but you need to become a little more optimistic. We always manifest what we believe in, and from reading your blogs, it is a far different path than my own. What you believe in, is your reality…period.
I appreciate you writing, and the diversity you bring to Lockergnome.
