Sensuality is Divinity

“Ah, that feels soooo good, oh, gods, do that some more.” That is me amidst a good back massage. When I eat, I often sound as if I am in full orgasm. Life can be such a pleasure! When we feel good, we are happy. When we are happy, our health reflects that. Our body craves to be stimulated…as stimulation is how our nervous system functions and decides what messages it sends to the brain. If we are sluggish in our activity and physical experience of life, our senses will have a lack of attention. Lack of stimulation to these nerves causes them to begin the process of atrophy, because they are no longer needed. The body is very adaptive, it will not continue to serve a purpose if it no longer needs it to function. The energy excess then goes to something else the body is using, or needs. In this case, most probably the brain. If we become overly mental, we begin to lose our capacity for physical pleasure. Sex becomes not a thing of pure physical urge, but a thought process we have created for ourselves. “Oh, yeah, that chick would be so hot laid out over the back of a Ferrari”. The more we see it all as symbols/words/thoughts, instead of just experiencing it, the less we are actually a part of the situation on a personal level. We have taken and made a fantasy out of the person we are with, rather than experiencing them as they actually are. This sometimes occurs because we are not comfortable with our bodies, or perhaps do not like the way they look. Some people just feel weird in regards to them. I remember as a child being quite awkward, and very much a klutz. I was not comfortable with my body, and it showed in how I handled it.

The more sensual we become with our bodies, the more it will show in our walk, and our general state of being. As most know, sex is known to increase one’s lifespan, and overall health. Pleasure is GOOD for you!!!! Here are a few tips to help you learn sensuality.

  • Experiment with touching all of the substances around you, and exposing as much flesh as possible, when it is appropriate. Remember that feeling is more than in your hands! The other day I had the most blissful experience. It had rained, and the yard was soaked. I took off my shoes and socks, and went outside, walking amongst the tree refuse that was all along the sidewalk. It was gushy between my toes, and it felt so weird, yet wonderful too! I walked about all over the yard, across the lawn, on the asphalt drive, upon the bare earth….and I did that for about a half hour. I had been harried before this, but afterwards I felt at peace with the world. Touch every substance you can get your hands on, even in public places. Touch tree bark, car surfaces, fabrics, and do it until your senses desire to do it. Throughout the day, just pay attention to the things that pass through your hands, and really connect to their tactile expression. Touching helps to balance emotions. Feeling helps us to feel.
  • Eat real food. Try foods like raw milk, raw aged cheeses, fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit, real organic butter, 73%-82% high grade chocolate bars, etc. Once you get a taste of real food, you will not want to go back to eating crap again. Your taste buds are greatly affected by how you feel about life. If you are wanting sweets all the time, you have not enough happy times in your life. If your taste buds have a hard time tasting the subtleties of flavor, you are most apt not to be very discerning in other personal tastes either. I once knew an old woman who was angry and bitter over her husband’s death. She came to hate food altogether, and found nothing to taste good. Our appetite, and pleasure in eating is equal to our passion for living…the two go hand in hand. This does not mean that one should gorge, but be able to work up a healthy appetite. One reason for a low appetite is lack of movement. The body does not need as much food if you are not moving about. A large amount of people eat only to satiate something that they cannot fulfill within themselves. Those who eat too much, often carry around a lot of personal baggage. When you eat, enjoy every bite, really experience the moment of your food. This helps to digest the food better, by stimulating your oral digestive juices. The body likes enjoyment, it makes it work properly!
  • Listen to a vast variety of music styles. Go to some place like Live365, and just try out a variety of stations. Try music you would normally never listen to, and broaden your musical horizons. Listen to people when you are out, talking in the background. Learn to sort out all of what you hear around you. Learn to listen more than you talk. Practice listening to things such as the TV, radio, etc., slightly lower than is comfortable. Learning to listen will make the world less about you, and more about what is really happening around you. When we listen, we are really paying attention to what is being said, not our thoughts about what is being said. This aids greatly in communication and creating more harmony in your life. Sometimes people talk too much, because they do not want to hear what the other person has to say, or they are afraid of the uncomfortableness they feel when silence comes. Do not over inundate yourself with noise, such as play music all day, every day. This numbs your auditory abilities, and will lessen your other listening experiences.
  • Really get into identifying smells, and enjoying odors. You will be surprised that some odors you previously thought awful, are not as bad as you had imagined. Smell greatly aids in letting us know what is going on around us. For example, every person we encounter we have a chemical interaction with. We smell what is going on with the other person. Nature has gifted us with this ability so that we can understand what is happening around us, before it is upon us. A subnormal ability to smell can result in misunderstandings, and an inability to really connect with what is happening around us.
  • Really learn to LOOK at things. Pay attention to detail, and really notice subtleties. If you have any kind of visual issue, practice looking at things from slightly farther away than is comfortable…and be sure to relax your eyes. Your eyes are constantly adjusting and focusing, as this is how we are able to see as clearly as we do(however clear that is). If you relax the eyes, they can do their job more effectively. Learn to caress things with your eyes, and really enjoy the experience of viewing them. Make things in your environ pleasant to look at, and somewhat organized. What our brain sees helps us to determine how we focus. If everything is all cluttered up, so will our brain be. If the environ is pleasant to look upon, and to some degree orderly, we will feel relaxed and more focused.

It really all just comes down to living a full life, and opening up to the experiences it offers us. Dream true everyone.
