Invasion of the Clones!

I have spent about half of my life traveling, and along my road have taken note of various differences between peoples in various states here in the U.S. I came to notice a phenomenon I have come to refer to as *The Clone People*. No, I am not referring to those out there buying into whatever fashion trends are currently in vogue, or copying the appearance of their favorite singer. What I am referring to are actual encounters with people who appear to be clones.

For example, I know of this woman I have seen living in at least five different cities. In every city she has the same strawberry blond hair, same anorexic look and appearance that says she used to use methamphetamines, she dresses like a biker, works construction, and has a biker husband that does the same. Every one of these people usually has lived in the same location most of their lives. This woman is only one of the many clones I have encountered, and I have spoken to others who have witnessed the same phenomenon.

Oddly enough, I almost never see two clones within the same city. Of course they all have different names, and I am sure many of the details of their lives vary, but to a large degree… they are the same person. I began to really wonder… what is the cause for this phenomenon? Could it be that the gene pool is really that small? Multiple births perhaps… could all these people be the product of quadruplets and such? Somehow I doubt it. Here are some possible scenarios, ranging from probable, to well… a little *out there*.

• The gene pool could have a base number of variants and possibilities; the higher the population, the more duplicates are given birth to.
• We could be the result of some alien experiment, and there were only so many variant possibilities of humans manufactured.
• We are being taken over by aliens, and they are duplicating themselves to fit in with the rest of us. Due to lack of an imagination, they took on the forms of those already existing.
• Military intelligence is actually cloning various citizens without their knowledge, but being sure to place the clones in cities separate from one another. This of course would lessen the odds of someone discovering their nefarious plot.
• Corporations are refining cloning technologies, and placing their experiments out into reality to give them a test run.

I will never forget an odd event that occurred years ago, when I was about 17. I was walking down a street with my best friend, and we witnessed something that made our jaws drop. In a little town of 45,000 people, a car drove by us identical to my own… and behind the wheel was another *me*. I have a rather unusual face, and I am never mistaken for other people. This woman was so identical to me, it was creepy. There were to be other incidents with this clone that later inferred that her personality may have also been very similar to my own. Is there another me out there? According to my family and friends, “we all hope not”.

Perhaps there is some sinister plot going on out there in the world, or possibly the gene pool is just a bit scanty. Whatever the case may be, be sure to avoid any possible alien encounters, or visits from men in black… you just never know.
