Bone and Joint Problems?

Many people these days are suffering from joint pain, aches, bone degeneration, carpal tunnel, etc. First know that this is NOT natural in any way, and it can be easily reversed. It may take time, depending on how bad your condition is, but it is possible to heal from these and other similar conditions.
I myself was born with a genetic medical condition, and suffered from muscle weakness in my upper arms and legs since I was a young child. This condition also left my muscles with very little elasticity, thus making it so that my bones would often misalign easily. Throughout the years I was to end up in a long series of physical accidents, that eventually left me unable to walk, or use my hands. Today I still have a broken tail bone, but I am able to function for the most part without pain. I dance, work out every day, do construction part time, and am a very active person. I no longer have joint pain, my muscles are solid as a rock, and my back continues to improve every day. Here are a few tips to get you started toward healing your muscle and bone problems:
- Use EFA’s. Essential Fatty acids are used by a large portion of your body’s functions, and are absolutely necessary for joint and bone health. Unfortunately they are not commonly found in today’s modern diet. Take at least one tablespoon of flax oil a day, or one tbsp. of raw unprocessed coconut fat. Use both if you are financially able to, and 2-3 times a day if your condition is severe.Within a week or two, you should notice a significant difference. Often times the body has become so depleted of EFA’s, it can take months to begin really healing significant damage. You will notice also a significant increase in mental brain function, and general overall health.
- Drink a lot of water. The average modern diet is riddled with chemicals and substances that eat up EFA’s, and water can help purge these substances out of the body. Drink at least 3-4 quarts of water a day. An excellent cleansing tool is the Oriental water cure. When you first get up in the morning, drink a full quart of water on an empty stomach, within a 5-10 minute amount of time. You will also notice a significant energy boost throughout the day. Be sure the water is purified, tap water will only increase issues.
- Things to avoid. These are things that rapidly eat up your EFA’s:Caffeine, tobacco, bread, pasta, pasteurized milk, and any carb based foods. These substances use your EFA’s to aid in processing them, robbing your body of what it needs to function properly.
- Drink raw milk. Raw milk is not legal to sell on the store shelf in most states , however there are ways of getting it. Check here for where you can find it in your local area. I am blessed that it is sold in Washington state, and that I can get it easily. Though I pay a pretty high price for it($13 a gallon), I no longer have to take a long drive out to a farm. The prices on the farms though are much more reasonable, on average about $6 a gallon. Pasteurized milk strips the calcium from your bones, whereas raw milk will give you the calcium you need for healthy bones. Drink 4-12 ounces of raw milk a day, and all of your calcium issues will be resolved over time.Tooth decay will halt, and damaged bone can begin to rebuild it’s self. If you are interested in more information on raw milk and it’s many health benefits, check out Real Milk.
- Physical activity. This is a rather gray area, as I am not familiar with the physical condition of every reader, so just use caution and wisdom. If you have extreme joint problems, or severe bone degradation, take this slowly. Do stretching exercises of some kind daily, yoga is a good discipline to use. Do not over extend muscles during your stretching exercises, but just push the stretch a slight bit beyond comfortability. I use a discipline called qi gong, and over time it can realign your entire skeletal system back into it’s proper form. I have thus far achieved about a 75% improvement in my own condition over a two year period, Regardless of how bad off you are, you need to physically keep the damaged parts moving to some degree. Bone and muscle will weaken when not used, and cause further decay and damage. Just be slow and gentle with extreme situations. In areas that you work on a regular basis doing repetitive actions, scar tissue builds up and lessens mobility. Also, areas of long term damage that leave the muscles in constant knots will leave the area filled with scar tissue. Gently massage these areas with an ice cube, working it gently into the damaged muscle tissue. Be careful, as this can cause bruising. You will initially experience more pain in the problem area, but over time, the scar tissue will break down, and you will regain mobility.
- Visualization. During your stretching, massaging problem areas, or just laying in bed at night before sleep, imagine the problem area/s being healed. See yourself doing all of the physical activities you love to do, naturally and pain free.
- Sit, and walk properly. Pay attention to how you are sitting and walking. Try to walk with your feet aligned straight, and keep you posture straight and relaxed. When sitting, use a posture chair if possible, and try to sit properly. If you have severe problems, these practices will really hurt. Don’t despair though, and keep at it. Over time we develop bad habits in how we sit or stand, and these begin to cause misalignment of bones and muscles. Also, injuries can lead us to favor certain areas. Do not favor an area, unless it is a fresh injury. Using canes and such will only keep the area misaligned.
- How to sleep. Do not use memory foam, a soft mattress, or a water bed. Sleep on a firm mattress or cot. Sleeping on an overly pliable surface will only perpetuate your condition. Once again, you will be in more pain initially, but in the long run you will be better off.
- Chiropractic. If you are able to use chiropractic aid in your particular situation, do so. Do not over do it though, and limit it to only once a week or less. You must use exercise in combination with chiropractic to aid you in the healing process, or you’ll just be wasting your money. The chiropractor can only put your bones back into place, but he cannot keep them there. Healthy practices on your part, will aid in keeping things in place.

Flax oil, water and physical activity help a great deal. I hate medication in general, and in concept, I also don’t like the instruction of bed rest. How is my back supposed to get better if I’m lying around all the time.
On the other hand, I don’t 100% reject medical advice, I just weigh it against the rest of my experience and get several opnions. Thus far, I’ve found the most relief in a combination of chiropractic and holistic treatments. The problem? They’re not covered by insurance mostly, and in the case that they are covered, I’m still not covered because of that whole “pre-existing conditon” nonsense. And so I live like a pauper, despite how much money I’m able to make under normal circumstances, so that I can always afford to pay for treatment.
Maybe I’ll move to France (see Sicko).

I also use allopathic medicine when necessary, but I try to avoid it if at all possible. The pharmaceutical company’s are handing out the medicines, as well as the poisons that make us need them. Illness is a win/win for doctor’s and that industry. Doctors are the third leading cause of death in America.
