Locating Summer Events

Looking for somewhere to go this summer? There are many resources available for your local town, or for those of you who will be traveling this summer. If you are into attending festivals, Festivals is an excellent place to start. Many of these festivals are free, low cost, or ask for a donation. Eventful is another excellent place to go, and covers just about any category of event occurring in your local city. Craig’s list has events, classes, and various kinds of activities listed under the community section. If you are wanting a more personal experience, or have the desire to make new friends, check out Meetup. There is surely something over at Meetup that will give you an opportunity to meet others with similar interests to your own. If you belong to a social networking site such as Myspace, or Tribe, local events are posted by members. Some of the events I go to, I have discovered through this route. Another option is to look up the site for your local Parks and Recreation Dept., which have many events listed, often including things like free live music.
So, get out there this summer, and enjoy the sunshine! When you live in a place like Seattle, as I do, you don’t want to miss a moment of it!
