Instantly Free Your RAM!

I recently came across this very cool little app called RAM Cleaner. If your Windows system is getting bogged down running applications, RAM cleaner will clear your memory without rebooting. Some of the features include:
Free RAM Now: Hitting CTRL+ALT+F instantly brings up a little window, and a progress bar appears. Within about 30 seconds, your RAM is free.
Restart Windows Without Shutting Down: CTRL+ALT+F5 restarts Explorer without ever having to do a complete shutdown. This is for those moments when your system freezes up. I personally have not been able to get this command to work on my system, but I suspect it is due to a shortcut conflict with another program.
Memory Report: CTRL+F12 brings up a pop up window letting you know how much memory your system has, how much is being used, and how much is available.
Kill Applications: This is also pretty handy; just hit CTRL+ALT+F4, and a popup asks if you would like to kill whatever is currently running in the forefront.
There are some other commands that allow you to dictate the exact amount of RAM you want to free, though I was unable to use them on my system. I am quite pleased with the basic commands, and highly recommend this program — especially for older systems limited in RAM capacity. The program can be downloaded for free, but $5 is required after 30 days. Quite a deal to rid yourself of memory issues!

Have you checked to see what is happening? Most of these programs merely move needed items to the swap file, and not much else. This allows the report of more free RAM, but when you start working with things again the RAM gets populated again, and the machine slows due to the memory load.
The only program I’ve ever used that produced real results [moving stuff to swap, but also making more contiguous memory available, and clearing unneeded DLLs from memory is CacheMan from OuterTech. It works well, and does cost $20, but you can use it first and decide if the benefits [for you] are there. I’ve used the program since I was using Windows 98, and it has worked well with each iteration of Windows, and that $20 I spent back then still entitles me to all the upgrades. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. [completely unpaid endorsement]

Thank you for your feedback! I do know that it will free my computer out of a freeze or crawl, and it will work fine afterwards for most of the day. I use a lot of programs all at once, and do large load multi-tasking, and only use it 1-2 times a day. I am pretty sure it functions appropriately. By the way, I also use CacheMan…excellent program. I just got a new system, but my older one has to run every gadget possible to stay in good form.

30 seconds is too much. i used fastdefrag which is the fastest ram defragmenter. it frees memory instantly(1 or 2 sec delay) and has the options you say this one has and it’s free, that is if you don’t need support or skins which require the professional license. you can find it at: http://www.amsn.ro/
