According to MarketWatch, Google has seen better summers. In reality, it feels more like the search giant leveled off rather than slumped, but maybe it’s just me?
Things started cooling off for Google in July, when it ended a run of 11 consecutive months of gains in the U.S. Internet search market, according to comScore Networks Inc. In July 43.7% of all search queries conducted in the United States used a Google search engine, down from the 44.7% attributed to Google the month before.
The number of search-engine queries is part of the complex formula used to gauge its successes or failures. In theory, more searches would result in more revenue from advertising…. Source: MarketWatch
