One thing that I have gathered thus far - Google is not to be trifled with. Once you have violated their Webmaster guidelines, you have got some serious issues to contend with. Take this company known as Traffic Power for instance:

Google has removed a company known as Traffic Power from its index of Web search results for violating Google policy guidelines against using certain techniques to get higher rankings, according to a blog posting by Googler Matt Cutts.
