Poor Opera. Even with recent changes to the way they were doing their Web browser, I am just not too sure that they will ever be all that accepted - on the mobile scene or otherwise.

As far as I am concered, I believe that the jury is still out on Google Base. Still, it seems that for some, the opinons have already been formed…

Perhaps a little extreme, yet there are still some strong points being brought up here. Are we getting ahead of ourselves here in consideration to this whole Web 2.0 thing?
I am a firm believe that 2006 is going to have a lot to offer. From early indicators, I would have to submit that Web 2.0 type stuff is going to be on the forefront of much of it.

Boy, it seems like lately that India is just bumpin’. And now I am hearing that they are really basically driving a fair portion of Google’s search results as well?
I would tend to agree that some of the best Web content out there can come from a message board. And just so long as the message being sought is on topic, it is a win - win for all involved.
It will be interesting to see if these guys can in fact, offer us an index that yields superior results.

I think that I would have to agree with this statement below. Yes, in some cases a good directory can in fact be better than a typical search engine.
Cool, it looks like MSN is beginning to get the right idea. For the most part, MSN has been making marked improvements in key areas. I for one, believe that use of the DMOZ directory would be one of the bigger ones.
So if I am understanding this correctly, Wink uses the data from a number of social-powered sites like Digg and Slashdot to create their content? Cool, works for me!
A very progressive way for Google to get their foot into the Chinese market. By having Tencent working with Google’s technology, it really does help to put a more localized feel to what Web search ‘Google-style’ can offer.
Not really sure if I would equate these Web 2.0 resources to the holidays, however I will say that some of them are pretty handy.
