The Internet Society Disability and Special Needs Chapter is the first chapter in the Internet Society that is not geographically based. It is dedicated to addressing the needs of people with special needs that are related to the Internet and its attendant technologies.
The pages on this site will explain more about the chapter. This chapter represents a journey for all of us who are members and who are dedicated to creating equal access to the Internet regardless of disability. This has been added to World Wide Web Reference Subject Tracer Information Blog.
Issues Definition
Project Description: Since this is a multinational chapter the best way for the members to understand disability issues is for each of us to help define those issues. Some will be issues that affect all of us, some will be localized to specific areas, cultures, or societies. But we need to define them so we can understand them and help to address them. We all have a lot to learn. It will be an exciting and productive journey! Please contact Norm Coombs to help him define these issues.
