Resources for Industry Analysis

Resources for Industry Analysis - Duke Universities Libraries Resources for Industry Analysis. Industry analysis is a type of business research that focuses on the status of an industry or an industrial sector (a broad industry classification, like “manufacturing”). A complete industrial analysis usually includes a review of an industry’s recent performance, its current status, and the outlook for the future. Many analyses include a combination of text and statistical data. There are many sources of industry analysis: investment firms, business and trade periodicals, trade associations, and government agencies. To conduct a thorough industry analysis, include a variety of sources. Categories included: 1) Introduction, 2) General Sources, 3) Statistics and Financial Ratios, 4) Trade Magazines, and 5) Trade Associations. This has been added to Business Intelligence Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog, and Research Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog. This will be added to Business Resources 2005 Internet MiniGuide and Competitive Intelligence Resources 2005 Internet MiniGuide.
