Is RSS contributing to information overload? Some people seem to feel that it is and along with eliminating other things on life could be of help.
Is Podcasting simply too difficult? In many cases, I believe it is. Perhaps applications such as iTunes will lay the ground work for great adoption.
Speaking as a Firefox fan, I believe that there is one area where IE 7 will spank Firefox - RSS subscriptions. Even in beta, the new Web browser makes subscribing to your favorite media sources a whole lot easier.
