Yet another publication brings themselves over to the realities of RSS.
Yes, this is a little disturbing. But not to fret, it appears that we have yet another case of someone who still doesn’t quite get it (not referring to Scott, by the way). It’s really simple: If the feeds are seamlessly delivered, people will be more than happy to read the delivered content.
Speaking for myself, I find the results of the below described study to be vague. The idea that 54% of the newsletter being skimmed just seems way too unlikely to me. Perhaps it’s just wishful thinking, but I am not convinced
This begs the question: Will this desire for an agreed upon icon for RSS really make any difference to the user? I tend to doubt it.
I am inclined to agree. It would be great to see some seamless interaction between RSS feeds and our TV sets. There have been some Open Source attempts at this, but they have not done anything workable on a large scale as of yet.
Leave it to Steve to find this one! As it turns out, the Long Island Power Authority is now offering RSS feeds of their own. As “shocking” as this may seem, apparently a “light” went on with someone in the right dept. in order to make this happen.
NewsGator has had both ups and downs over the years. Perhaps they will have better shot with their latest endeavor?
