The RSS Innovator’s Dilemma

There’s one problem with full text and plain text feeds, though. What’s that? Advertisers don’t like them. Corporations don’t like them. People who want to make money off of their feeds don’t like them.
Scoble points out that there is an impending battle between “plain-text” feeds and “branded” feeds. Okay, maybe not a battle, but definitely two different schools of thought.
Which one will win in the end? I think the users will. I can always unsubscribe from a feed that I don’t like, especially one where there is too much fluff and advertisement. And don’t forget services like FeedBurner that can customize existing feeds to satisfy the end user.
