RSSQuotes to Track Stock Quotes

RSSQuotes:

"allows you to create and save a list of stocks, then delivers the quotes to your favorite RSS Reader during market hours. Most quotes are in REAL-TIME. Those not traded on the ECNs are 20 min. delayed."

I already do casual quote tracking with Trillian, and when it’s time to trade, many people use dedicated applications such as QuoteTracker. I don’t get the point of having real time data in an asynchronous client such as an RSS reader (which is more often standing in the background than in the foreground), but I guess some people will find RSSQuotes useful. For instance you could use it with Trillian, since its own native quote feed is delayed. That way you get your quotes in a lightweight client that can always be loaded in memory or even visible on screen, provided your resolution is large enough (I use dual screens for that very purpose: background apps such as Trillian and Winamp get to remain visible on the second screen).

Membership is free for 5 quotes but the site requires registration. The limited number of quotes leads me to think a paid service will be introduced at some point to let you manage a fuller portfolio and watchlist, provided there’s enough interest in the first place.
