Bill Burnham warns (in RSS: A Big Suggess in Danger of Failure at the Weekly Read) that the proliferation of RSS feeds is bringing on a crisis of classification:
… without the use of meta-directories and their standardized classifications and taxonomies the RSS community is in danger of collapsing under the weight of its own success and becoming the “push” of 2004. Let’s hope they learned from the mistakes of their forefathers.
