It’s been quite some time since I’ve last blogged. As I had left off with telling of you of this awesome network I had gone on every single day for 7 months it was time for some changes. So does that mean I left WyldRyde? Of course not that would be the last thing I would ever do! WyldRyde has made quite a few changes though– for the better. Instead of only having a 40 channel limit every regular user is now allowed 60 channels open simultaneously. This is awesome because within a week I’m now maxed out in channels and I think I’ve covered the majority of my friend’s channels. Another WyldRyde plus is the fact we can fit 60 users on our akick list now. I mean I barely have 10 people on their now, but who knows I might need all that extra room in the future! You may be asking yourself, “What the heck is WyldRyde?” I used to wonder the same thing, but now I’m the one that gets asked that same question. WyldRyde, like many other servers out there, is an IRC server, or Internet Relay Chat, that provides mass amounts of people to communicate over the Internet. Another question you may even be asking is, “Why’d you pick WyldRyde out of all the other servers out there?” The answer to that is, because of the people you get to meet. Everyone on the WyldRyde server knows how to have a good time; whether it’s a voiced user, an op, or even the admins that are in charge of the entire server! WyldRyde does an excellent job of keeping control of their channels and they are more then willing to help a user in need. They even have their own help channel, how much better can it get. Another thing about WyldRyde is the people make you want to keep coming back. It doesn’t matter how much you try to resist you just can’t control yourself and eventually get hooked on it, but you’ll find that you love it no matter how much you try to hate it. What is bored?

Top 5 things to do when you’re bored. In Chris’s room many people state that they have become bored and they usually make it clear to the entire room that they are bored, which I find to be annoying and I’m sure everyone else does to. Instead of saying your bored move your mouse to the top right of the window and press the button labeled ‘X’ which should solve half of your problems. Now that you have closed the window here are some things you could do to keep you from becoming bored.

1.) There is plenty to do online you could talk to friends on an instant messenger client or read an article some where on the Internet.

2 .) If you’re not really into the Internet you could always go out with friends or family and spend the day out with them doing a numerous amount of things.

3.) There’s always something on television whether it’s a cooking show to watching the TV schedule scrolling up.

4.) Everyone enjoys music if it’s pop, rock, hip-hop, blues, metal, jazz, or even techno. So go grab your mp3 player or just turn on the radio and find something to do while you listen.

5.) I think Chris will like this last one. If you are really bored then go out and buy yourself a Tenori-on from Yamaha and you can make your own music for hours and hours. We all know what that’s like from watching Chris going at it for hours.

To keep me occupied I have started my own Ustream page and WyldRyde channel and it’s called #Rockbuddy. I even have my own blog provided by Lockergnome it’s actually a lot of fun getting it started and interacting with your guests who decide to stop by.

Fill in on Ustream

I would like people that I’ve known and are at least half ops and are 14 years or older in #Rockbuddy or that I have known and can trust to fill in for my Ustream page. Of course with this job comes responsibility though. If you do decide you would like to stream and I let you or another person there are a few guidelines that must be followed. Also, when streaming for #Rockbuddy please refrain from using explicit language, smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages, and performing other drug related activities. You may not discuss drugs, sex, racism, P2P sharing, or any other illegal activities. If you fail to comply with the given rules you will be removed from the Rockbuddy Show ustream page. I hope to see you streaming soon!

Here’s how it works…

Several rules have been established for my channel and I am expecting them to meet the given criteria. In #Rockbuddy there are 3 bots: A services bot (Elle); An information bot: (Salemander); and a moderator/information bot (^_^). By default all users (except channel moderators unless they are abusive to their position) will not be kicked or banned if some standards are not followed. They may need to settle other users down if the channel reaches the point of insanity, also, they have earned the ability to bend the rules. If a moderator does seem to be abusing his/her position you may PM me with a complaint (only if they are being extremely unfair), but if PMing gets out of hand I will provide an e-mail address for all complaints in the future. Since the bots handle most common problems, such as kicking and banning, the moderators will have more time to handle other channel problems. At some time the room may eventually become moderated (+m) if the room becomes uncontrollable, or if there happens to be another issue within the channel. If a moderator is to kick you please do not complain, because you were only kicked and not banned. If you do complain and begin to argue with a moderator you will be removed from the room for an extended amount of time (I or another op will be the judge of that). If you do feel as though you have been banned in error you may appeal it at: Assistant_Help@hotmail.com and will be required to state your WyldRyde or Ustream username, your e-mail address, the channel you were banned from, a description telling me who banned you and what was happening at the time of the ban (a log file/fragment is acceptable), and please state why you believe the ban should be removed, if you cannot paste the section of the conversation you were having when you were banned then please try to explain what you said before the ban was placed. Ustream is up and running!

A few days ago I remembered that I still had my channel up for WyldRyde so I said to myself hey maybe I can be one of those people where they can actually maintain a room of more than 100 people in their room so I’m giving that a shot now! I have connected my Ustream with my Wyldryde room to get in some more people since I’m not really to big on the room provided for you by Ustream, but I appreciate the free accounts for each of these services. I am so excited and can’t wait to get started meet me there at www.ustream.tv or join my WyldRyde channel on #Rockbuddy and remember we want you to keep coming back! To kick things off I would like to say thanks for coming to read some posts and interact with other people in the Lockergnome Community! I hope to make this as entertaining as I possibly can and hope everyone enjoys themselves as well. I haven’t known Chris very long, but I do have to say that he is an awesome guy and he’s given a lot back to the community and he’s really come a long way. If you ever have the time to you should stop by his live stream at live.pirillo.com and interact with other people like you, if you’re having issues there are tons of people here to help you troubleshoot your problem until it is resolved. (Everyone in the chat are all volunteering their time to help you so please be respectful).
