Murdoch Memo To Workers – You Have To Woker Harder During The Summer

Posted by on Jul 19, 2010 | 7 Comments

Rupert Murdoch has sent a memo out to all of his employees in which he informs them that they need to work harder during the summer. Here is a copy of the memo:

So what’s up with this? Are the people in his organizations falling down on the job?

Maybe Murdoch needs to set up a paywall for his workers to make sure they have to pay to come to work. LOL

Comments welcome.

I used to joke about the folks that, on a regular basis, get paid on Friday, go on a weekend “bender” and fail to show up Monday.

I doubt that Mr. Murdoch’s memo is going to alter anyone’s behavior.

I’m guessing people have been skipping out early for the day. Maybe lots of “sick days” being used, coincidentally, on Fridays, hmmm…? Enough that it has come to his attention- that would be pretty bad?

JFK – you are probably right about murdoch not knowing how to use email. If I remember correctly, he is 79 years old.

Now, old age really doesn’t excuse not being able to use email. I just read about a local woman who is 100 years old and surfs the web daily on her laptop.

    No excuse.

You in the USA may have problems with Mr. Murdoch, but he owns nearly half our newspaper industry here in the U.K. – and is about to take full control of BSkyB. Consequently, when a good proportion of your east coast is wiped out, including wild-life, fishing industries and lives lost, all we hear of it in his newspapers is that American’s anger and actions for recompence will reduce our pension payments! Not tthat B.P’s incompetance reduced their share price, but rather the actions taken by the citizens of the USA brought it about; now that’s surely turning logic on its head
