Are You One Of America’s ‘Small People?’ BP Officials Are Just Plain Arrogant!

Are You One Of America’s ‘Small People’? I Am And Proud Of It!

The people who run BP are an arrogant bunch who seem to have a penchant for sticking their foot in their mouth when they speak.

First we had the CEO of BP, Tony Hayward, tell us that he can’t wait to gets his life back. Poor baby. Are we interfering with your rich lifestyle by bringing you back down to earth to have to deal with a disaster your company created?

The Chairman of BP, Carl-Henric Svanberg, who stated:

“I hear comments sometimes that large oil companies are greedy companies who don’t care. But that is not the case in BP. We care about the small people.”

But we just can’t  pick on BP, since we have our village of American-bred idiots to deal with, one of whom claims to be a U.S. Congressman. I am referring to Rep. Anh “Joseph” Cao (R-LA) who stated:

“Well, in the Asian culture we do things differently. During the Samurai days, we would give you a knife and ask you to commit harakiri.”

Not to be outdone by anyone, we have the American President stating:

“And I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially… have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick.”

No matter what your political affiliation, or what your personal feelings are about BP, the fact is that everyone has to share some of the blame on how these people act. It is the ‘small people’ who elected our current President and the folks in Congress. It is the ‘small people’ who made BP rich by buying its products.

Is anyone else frustrated by this entire mess and the way it is being handled?

Comments welcome.

Actually, I can sympathize with the ‘I want my life back’ statement. I want mine back, too.

On the whole, it’s not just BP execs who have an arrogance problem… You’ll find that quite common among people in that strata of society, with some exceptions (Richard Branson & Warren Buffet come to mind).

But for sheer unadulterated arrogance far & above that of oil company executives, look at CONgress, Bernanke, Geithner and, yes, the President too.

You can take the whole of BP arrogance, square it, sqaure it about three more times and not even have a thimblefull of the arrogance our D.C. politicians evidence. These useless, destructive, toxic oxygen sinks are now beating up on BP as the Great Satan, even though THEY solicited BP’s input on writing the LARGE energy tax provisions of the Cap and Trade bill (nearly half the thing is BP-authored) they’re now trying to sneak through in a bill supposedly to punish future spillers.

BP’s arrogance is huge, but it’s many, many orders of magnitude less than the arrogance of our congresscritters and the Zero in the White House.

Dr.Tarr and Mr. Fether should host a “roast” (featuring real tar and real feathers applied and lit) to deal with ‘em all.

The more & more I hear about the arrogance of these self-righteous SOB’s…the more I believe the French & Russian revolutions were right on the money. Just because you were a legend in your own mind didn’t stop the bullets/swords from saving you from an end of their own making. If I thought I could get a “better” life someplace else…I would become a citizen of that place.

As for BP & all of the rest of the corporations which have no problem destroying this planet…I have one question for you. Do you actually believe we have starships or stargates to head to other worlds for you to destroy?
