Will The ‘Coffee Party USA’ Make A Difference? You Decide

I don;t know about you, but I am personally dissatisfied with our representatives in Congress. Whether your political belief is as a Democrat or a Republican, we citizens have the perception that our country has lost the ability the represent its citizens. It seems that between the corporations, specials interest groups and paid lobbyists, we are out of the loop. No longer do our representatives represent the will of the people.

First there was the Tea Party and now there is a Coffee Party. On their web site they state that:

MISSION: The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

But as with most grass root political organizations, I am not sure what defines the Coffee Party.

Statements like this make me suspect as to the motives of the Coffee Party:

we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them.

Who decides what are positive solutions? Who defines who the obstructionists are?

Let’s take health care reform. Is a positive solution hinged on what the Democrat’s  propose? Are the obstructionists [Republican's]  those who oppose health care reform?  Who defines what is or is not a ‘positive solution’?

These are just a few of the questions I personally have for any group that wants to represent me.

What do you think?

Comments welcome.

Interesting site. Thanks for the link. Here’s another: http://www.dumptheincumbent.com/

      Thanks Buffet.

    Libertarian.
Much closer to the founding fathers than the current disaster.

I originally signed up for the Coffee Party, but then I found out that the people who started it are really far left liberals who are pulling the wool over people’s eyes.

They started this movement because they were angry that the Tea Parties were drowning out the liberal message, and wanted to try to get the attention off of the Tea Parties so that the media will pay attention to the liberal agenda and rally behind Obama.

I think it’s wrong that they are hiding behind the “civil discourse” mantra in order to get together enough people to draw attention to their real agenda. One of the founders, Annabel Park, was NOT civil about the Tea Parties before, cursing and calling them names.

People need to know what the true reason for starting the Coffee Party movement is – supporting Obama and a far left agenda.

What a joke. The difference I hope they make is to make all the progressives feel good and comfortable about what they are doing so the real grass roots movement, (The Tea Party, oh excuse me, you would know them better by the term tea baggers), will kick all their butts out come November.

Quite a number of articles out there about how the coffee party was created to undermine the tea party by hijacking it , so they can maneuver people away from where they were going. They tried to hijack the tea party directly, but it didn’t work, as it refused to move from a bi-partisan direction. ‘They’ meaning those behind undermining this country, and there is no level they will not sink to. Watch this incredible clip from 1958 describing ‘their’ plans in full detail:

The problem Mr. Schenone is that you don’t need any group to represent you. Educate and represent yourself. Stand for the principals you believe in. This country is, or at least used to be, based on individual freedoms and rights, not the collective no matter how large or small. If you happen to find like minded people, great. If you don’t , you may be alone but you will at least be able to have self respect. When you understand this concept you will have a better understanding of what the Tea Party is about and how bogus the so-called coffee part is.

It may make a difference because it has the Obama operative Annabell Park and I’m sure with David Plouffe the campaign manager, and now without Obama being able to use the National Endowment For the Arts to continue his “Campaign”, he has had to resort to astroturffing. My opinion is that when the public learns more by us bloggers spreading the news of what this white house is doing, it will only make the public more angry.

Code Brown aka “coffee party” was founded by Annabelle Parks, previously the founder of Asians for Obama and a Virginia Asians for Tim Kaine group. She is also on staff at the NYT.
If you are looking to join a purely liberal organization – like there aren’t enough already – then by all means, Code Brown is for you.
Parks is merely trying to pull centrists and indies out of the Tea Party by offering a left-leaning group that is truly the “astroturf” Pelosi talked about.

If the papers/media in general, would start reporting the WHOLE story and the relevant facts of a news story, instead of mis-reporting on this top down, inorganic KoffeeKlatch nonsensical propaganda, people would stop going to British news and the Internet. …
CNN, WaPO and the rest, decides what is and is not news and the “take” of an issue according to the views of it’s staff.
This “MUGWHOMP” coffee klatch movement IS AstroTurf…Hardly organic…
There is nothing more boring then constant propaganda…
Smart people will not tolerate being lied to for very long. ..
Sins of omission are the worst kind of lies…
Koffee Party is not my “cup of tea”…

The “Coffee Party” is even less genuine than Mike Myers in a dress doing Linda Richman and “Coffee Talk”…

Did the Obama Administration even TRY to come up with something smart…?

    If I were Meyers, I’d sue…

This whole “collective will” thing gives me the creeps. “Positive solutions”– yeah, right. Positive for whom, Kimosabe? Butt out of my life.

“But as with most grass root political organizations, I am not sure what defines the Coffee Party.”

Google Annabel Park. It’s really not that big of a mystery.

The Nazis infiltrated every partisan and resistance movement it could…even created false “resistance” movements and arrested and executed those who signed up thinking they were fighting Nazism.

This is no different, only the names have changed. The “coffee party” “movement” is nothing more than an attempt to dilute and suffocate the Tea Party movement….

and like the Nazis, the media is under the leftist’s control, thus it will appear to be legitimate. The good thing about this though, is that the vast majority of Americans aren’t just sitting around…they are engaged.

The leftists will expose themselves for what they are..socialist elitists….and it will just make it easier for those of us who are the “enemy” to know who and where they are.

It’s a damn shame we cant treat them like the collaborators were treated when they were discovered. I am positive that most of these liberals are just arm chair ideologues, and when faced with a good old fashioned ass whipping, they would go back inside and return to their X Boxes……

The “coffee party” founders/organizer/initiator whoever they are thought they are “clever”… They miss the boat! The “tea party” is not about “tea” or the “party”, it is about people being fed-up.
Taxing hard working people and people who wants to provide jobs and products to move our economy for long term sustainable growth is what people are fed-up about. The people sitting in Washington have no clue what is important for the future of this country. Therefore, they just find ways to tax people in the name of helping, caring and feeding the poor. In reality, they suck more money from the people who has the ability to build the country and the country for long term growth for making useless jobs and a bigger government. You can have you coffee party and hope you drink so much that you will have a high blood pressure and have a quick heart attack…

No, this woman is a hack who is clearly not acquainted with the issues or with a broader understanding of political processes. If she wanted real solutions she’d spend less time blathering about cooperation and “obstructionism” and instead actually examine the issues she thinks she’s talking about, get her head out of the sand and realize that “R” and “D” are the same people. Reducing everything to “Democrats are socialists” and “Republicans are capitalists” retards critical thinking. If you take an objective look at the argument over any given subject, you realize that they are 90% in agreement, the remaining 10% being over which lobbying groups receive the most benefit from the legislation. Politicians against this health care bill aren’t “obstructing” anything, they’re just shilling for their individual campaign contributors who’s business models work slightly less well under it and who aren’t getting any special favors and handouts. In the end the winners and losers are going to be largely the same from an outside point of view: the insurance industry wins, the healthcare industry wins, pharma wins, big ag wins, and everyone else loses. It’s only a matter of which cartels get the biggest influx and which get the biggest loss.
