State Of Missouri Targets Christians As Terrorists

Posted by on Mar 24, 2009 | 6 Comments

In a report from the Missouri Information Analysis Center: The Modern Militia Movement, 20 Feb 2009, the State of Missouri is warning law enforcement that Christians are to be considered terrorists. As unbelievable as this may sound, it in fact spelled out on page #4 of the report the following:

Militia Trends

Ideologies

Members of the milita group movement often subscribe to the ideology of other right wing extremist movements such as:

Christian Identity: Religious ideology popular in extreme right wing circles. Adherents believe that whites of European can be tracked to the ‘Lost Tribes of Isreal’. Many consider Jews to be the satanic offspring of Eve and the Serpent, while non-whites are ‘mud-people’ created before Adam and Eve.

I was surprised when I first read this report. It seems that the state of Missouri is targeting, not only terrorists, but Christians as well. I would like for you to take a look at the report and share your opinion on what you believe the reports states.

Look at the larger picture. It’s not just Christians. It’s people who voted for Ron Paul, liberty-minded folks, 2nd Amendment advocates.

It’s enemies of the state. Doesn’t that bother anybody?

    Hello,

I just finished looked at the pamphlet (report seems too grandiose a word for it). In eight pages, it mentions once that many of the militia movement members believe in a splinter form of Christianity called Christian Identity. Other organizations have similar religious component to their background as well (KKK, Taleban, IRA and so forth). This does not mean that all protestants or muslims or people who practice a particular religion are terrorists.

You might want to read further on the citizen militia movement or Christian Identity belief system–I suspect you will find that neither has much in common with with your views as a citizen or as a Christian.

    Targeting…hmmm…lets stir up some paranoia.

The group you mention was one of six extremist groups mentioned in the document. One out of six, call me crazy but that doesn’t seem like targeting to me. They weren’t talking about specific hate groups that operate here, not all Christians in general. The group mentioned has a specific ideology that is not part of what I would call standard Christian values. Taken in context, I don’t find it offensive at all, and I am a Christian, but a law-abiding one.

I appreciate the post though, after reading that article, I feel a lot better knowing that my law enforcement officials know what they’re looking for.

The spin on this item is all wrong – apparently, the author is not up on Missouri events. The people of Missouri are comprised largely of Christians, with the usual mix of non Christians. But the article to which you refer is not a direct quote of any single item, but a sensationalized twist on a local issue.

The fact is, the State of Missouri is being sued by the ACLU and the Fred Phelps group out of Topeka, KS, for rendering illegal the picketing and protesting at funerals. Phelps and his group of so-called “Christians” are considered by most Missourians to be engaged in terrorist activities, very similar to the Ku Klux Klan.

This is in no way a reflection on any Christian group, since we do not consider Phelps and his lunatic followers to be Christian in any sense of the term.

As ‘unbelievable’ as it sounds that christians are terrorists the facts stand that that is exactly what they are…While muslims use physical terrorism (bombs, etc..) christians terrorists use psychological terror to impart their beliefs. You have devised and implemented a system that fulfills your needs for ‘meaning in life’ and anyone that doesn’t agree is ‘ blind’ or under Satan’s influence. Do you not realize that your core belief is that every human alive is not worthy to live and deserves to die. Christianity is a real peaceful religion, huh ? Peaceful is not telling everyone they are going to burn in hell forever unless you believe or pick the god that the christian terrorists have, a god as improbable as the next. Peaceful is saying “We are all stuck here until we die, grow up with the fairytale shit and just die in dignity…OK ?

Agnosticism – The one true peaceful ‘religion’ if common sense can be called a religion. You don’t know and neither do I…
