McDonald’s Endorses Homosexual Agenda

McDonald’s Restaurants have chosen to refuse a request by American Family Association to remove their name and logo from the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) Web Site that lists McDonald’s as a “Corporate Partner and Organization Ally”. The corporation also refused to remove its endorsement of NGLCC by Richard Ellis, Vice President of Communications for McDonalds USA, from the NGLCC Web Site.
After refusing both requests McDonald’s donated $20,000 to NGLCC in exchange for membership in the NGLCC and a seat on the group’s board of directors. This board lobbies Congress on homosexual issues including homosexual marriage. McDonald’s stand comes down to what their CEO has stated in the past that McDonald’s will promote any social issues that they choose and do so aggressively. He went on to state that McDonald’s will use their size and resources to make a difference in the world. Does that mean that their goal is to eradicate the traditional family?
For some this support by a major corporation affirms their belief that this behavior is within the acceptable norms of our society. For others it is another indication that our society is setting itself to once again be judged by the Almighty as Sodom and Gomorrah was judged during Bible days when homosexuality was rampant.
For those of you who follow the latter belief the AFA is calling for a boycott of McDonald’s restaurant until they take a neutral stand on the issue. The boycott is not about not hiring homosexual employees, serving homosexual patrons, or treating homosexual employees fairly. It is about respecting the rights of all American’s and not flaunting one segment of society over another.
In the case of the former I question their need to flaunt their actions in the face of others who do not accept this lifestyle for themselves. I do not ask for special treatment because I am heterosexual. I do not ask for corporate sponsorship so that everyone will know my sexual preference. It is a private issue between myself and my partner. I guess overall I am too busy just trying to pay bills, do some good for others, and keep my family’s needs cared for to think that this issue would matter to anyone else.
So overall, I guess I feel that it is wrong for McDonald’s restaurants to throw themselves wholeheartedly behind promoting the homosexual agenda especially since Richard Ellis of McDonald’s is openly homosexual and sits on the NGLCC Board of Directors. If Mr. Ellis has a personal agenda then he should not be allowed to speak for a National Corporation that services traditional American families.

Hear hear! Keep business focused on business.
If a few people in upper manager believe in a cause, then why do they not just PERSONALLY support - why pull in a publically traded corporation?
Now if a business/corporation was founded on homosexuality, then I would expect them to take a stance like this. But Mickey D’s was found on hamburgers and fries!
I for one support the AFA boycott of McDonald’s. The food was bad for me anyways!

Heh! I just find loaded terms the AFA likes to throw out there all the time, like “the homosexual agenda” and “liberal activist judges,” kind of, well… silly.
And, as much of a problem I’ve had with its policies over the years, McDonald’s is a private corporation and can throw around its money wherever it likes. It can probably be argued that McDonald’s supports “the obesity agenda” and “the capitalist agenda” far more than this so-called “homosexual agenda,” and the former are certainly no more or less helpful/harmful to the cause of “traditional American families” than the latter. :)
I’m pretty sure this “homosexual agenda” is really about fair treatment and equal rights more than recruiting the straights and wrecking America and its wholesome western traditions.
(An aside: I don’t intend for this to be taken as a spark to a flame war! I respect your opinions and enjoy your entries, but I had to say something in this case. The AFA and its simplistic, cookie cutter rhetoric drives me bonkers! I <3 you, though. :))

“It is about respecting the rights of all American’s and not flaunting one segment of society over another.”
The plural of “American” is “Americans”. No apostrophe is required.
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘flaunting’ here. Do you just mean preferring, or perhaps promoting?

They’re everywhere, you know.
They’re probably under the bed with the commies.
Or instead of the commies - I don’t spend much time under the bed.
I agree with you: I’m not interested in knowing.
I think you’re over the top with the concept of a homosexual agenda though. The gays I know have the same agenda as you and me - to live and be happy. I say they should be afforded the same rights the straights are. Let them suffer the marriage penalty :)
Your verbiage leaves very little doubt as to where you stand.
Like McDonalds and the religious organization, I support your right to say it.
I also support the boycott of McDonalds, but only because they don’t serve anything remotely related to food.

God/ess forFEND these immoral perverts demand their natural, inalienable, CONStiTUTIONAL rights as citizens!
Yeah. That would be the “Queer Agenda.” And it ain’t just homosexuals. It’s all KINDS of Queer folk that are pretty much fed up with you whiny little Dominionist Reconstructionist “Tonite, Pinky, we take over the WORLD” psudo-christians.
Hell, even outright Evangelical Christians - Jim Wallis, for one - are sick of your hatred, your prudery and your monomania about the private behavior of other folks while singing hosannas of praise for the outright definable sins committed in pubic in church or the market square by church leaders, church elders and your choice for Mr. Christian Free World Leader, George Bush.
Ted Haggard, meanwhile, you know, the pastor committed to delivering the Air Force (and it’s nuclear weaponry) to the (terminal) guidance of Christ?
Yeah. He was exposed because his behavior morally outraged his homosexual meth dealer.
God, what HIGH standards you-all have set for yourselves.
Let me tell you succinctly what the “Gay/Queer/Freak/Trannie/Crazy/Hippie/Pervert/Dyke/Lezbo/Homo agenda” is. It is very simple.
So long as what we do harms none, we wish to do as we will and be as we are.
Moreover, we recognize no law of man or counterfeit of God’s llaw that permits the murder of any of us. Nor do we deign to recognize your “GAWD given Umurikin RAIGHT” to use and abuse influence and threats of force to impose Levitical misrule upon us all. I’d say more along this line, but I have already.

I support the boycott of Mcdonald’s. But McDonald’s isn’t the only one involved. In fact there are so many corporations involved in the anti-life agendas that one would have to remove oneself from participation in this society to be clean of the taint. Christians worked in the household of Nero and served in the Imperial Army. Rome fell eventually, just as America will fall. The acceptance of homosexuality as another normal life course has widespread implications for society; unintended consequences that complaisant heterosexuals, busy with other interests of family and bills, haven’t even dreamt. There is a reason why the human race, broadly speaking, has always deemed normalization of homosexuality to be undesirable. Now we shall shortly see why.

It is pure nonsense that people of this day would be offended by the actions of an American Corporation. It is a joke that “Christians” can’t get over themselves and let it go. You spend six days a week preaching to the almighty buck and wash your sin away on Sunday… What a crock of s@$#.
This may be a publicly traded company and they have to answer to there board but they don’t have to answer to the stock holders who are currently buying stock btw. Who are you to say what they can or can’t do. If your worried about Sodom and Gomorrah, the politicians hae taken care of that bowing to these corporations little whims. Start a boycott of the big businesses for destroying our country selling it off to the highest bidder and whoring it out and you will get me interested. If McDonald’s wants to help homosexuals get equal treatment let them. Eating there won’t make you gay….
A boycott would only truly hurt Ronald McDonald house go ahead hurt those children you fine Christians.
One final note: I would have never heard about this had you not posted this blog!!!!

We don’t need to shout “Boycott!” We don’t need to protest.
If McDonald’s corporate actions are offensive to you, just spend your money somewhere else. There are plenty of competitors in the fast food market. When the corporate analysts see a significant downturn, the stockholders will ask “why?”
When a corporate policy decision hurts the bottom line enough, the policy will be re-evaluated. And if it doesn’t impact their bottom line, then any outrage you might have is not important to them.
Just go somewhere else when you’re hungry, because you disagree. Or go there, because you do agree. Or just “don’t sweat the small stuff. And it’s all small stuff.”
