If you want an edge of your seat thriller that will keep you up at night you have to read Kay Hooper’s book Hunting Fear. In her novel Kay Hooper takes you along for a ride with Noah Bishop’s Special Crimes Unit (a group of professional psychics) as they seek to stop a psychopathic killer from killing again.
The plot begins with Lucas Jordan, a behavioral psychic, arriving in Clayton County, North Carolina, where a series of kidnapped victims have been found murdered. Working with carnival psychic Samantha Burke the two of them struggle to overcome her troubled past while at the same time fighting against the local police who unintentionally strangle hold the investigation due to their mistrust and prejudices against things that they don’t understand. The real terror, however, begins when Gilbert targets Jordon and Burke as his next victims.
Anyone who is afraid of the dark shouldn’t read this novel but if you love suspense and an impossible to put down novel this book is for you.
