Amy Gutman’s spine-chilling book, The Anniversay, is riveting from its beginning and holds you in its clutches from beginning to end. Ms. Gutman’s roller coaster ride takes you from the trial of serial killer Stephen Gage, to the miraculous survival of the main character with unexpected twists and turns at every corner. A definite must read for the serious mystery buff.
The plot centers around Stephen Gage’s threats at the time of his execution and the reality that five years later those very threats were beginning to seem more like predictions of what was to come. These threats were aimed at the three women that touched his life the closest including his ex-girl friend, Laura, (who had changed her name to Calle Thayer), Melanie White, (the attorney who had represented Gage at his trial), and Diane Massey (a best-selling author who had written a novel on the Gage murder trial).
If you like suspense and on the edge of your seat action The Anniversary is a must read.
