I am currently a T-Mobile customer who uses a Blackberry. I have been using an old Blackberry 8700. A year ago I really wanted an iPhone. I am a heavy Mac OS X user. I’ve been an Apple fan and user since 1994. Then I received the crushing news that the iPhone would be an AT&T exclusive (indefinitely). I have had some bad experiences with AT&T and decided that I would not switch carriers to get the iPhone. Well the iPhone 3G was announced in June and released in July. The only thing that kept me going was that the Blackberry Bold was expected to be released in August. I figured the Bold would be out on AT&T in August and then T-Mobile by January ’09 .Well….that didn’t happen. I like my Blackberry, but I really need an all in one device because I do a lot of traveling. Then the HTC Dream aka the G1 is announced. I am like finally. Yes, I know there is no multi-touch only comes with a 1 GB Micro SD card and there is no desktop syncing. Well single touch works for me, Sandisk is releasing a 16 GB MicroSD card, and I use Gmail, Google docs, and Google Calendar. To me desktop syncing is not necessary because there is already a Google Sync application that allows you to sync your Outlook calendar with Google calendar. The G1 is not the best look phone, but it work for me. What do you think? Are you getting a T-Mobile G1? Why or Why not?
