Google has lauched its new service callled Google Apps. This allows users who have a domain name to setup there whole management on a suite of web-based applications that have been built by Google. These set of web-based applications are said to give a lot of competetion to Microsoft Exchange. There can be types o users, that are paid and free users. the paid users pay a fee of 50$ per month to Google. This suite of applications contains the following -
- GMail
- GoogleTalk
- Google Calendar
- A Start Page
- Google Docs & Spreadsheets
- Page Creator
- Control Panel
- Extendable API’s
One can even try Google Apps’s Premier version for free till April 30th. Google Apps has also custom settings for four different types of workgroups that are - Small Bussiness, Enterprise, School and Family. Those users who do not have a domain can register a domain as well from GoDaddy which has collaborated with Google for the same. You can Get Started by using your Google Account.
