If you haven’t been paying attention to the news lately you might be missing the growing controversy over network (or Net) neutrality. You can read more about it here and here. So what is Net neutrality, you might ask? Well this Wikipedia article gives a good explanation of the term.
It seems that some of the big telecommunications companies believe that in addition to already charging companies such as Yahoo!, Google, Amazon, etc. that if they want to connect to their users they need to pay an additional charge. On the reverse side of this (for example) your ISP may want to charge you more or throttle back your speed to be able to connect to Amazon since they have an agreement with Barnes & Noble already. Never mind that you that Google, Amazon, and every other company already pays for access to the Internet. Why do the telecos feel they need to levy a toll on where we go and who we access? The chief technology officer for Verizon Communications, Mark Wegleitner, has this to say about the subject.
To learn more about the subject, just do a search on the term and you will find plenty of news articles and opinions on this subject. If you feel strongly about the subject let your Represenative and Senator know how you feel. All of us who use the Internet will be directly affected by how this plays out.

The 1st Amendment is very important, and no one should try to change the original meaning of it. The “Fairness Doctrine” is a tool to silence descent. But if the Fools that be get it passed, they have to include All forms of communication. TV is much more powerful and is used to Brainwash people everywhere because 99% of them are against Republicans. Take for example the News they don’t report on. The real reason that Russia is crushing Georgia. Russia wants to stop the oil pipeline that would keep them from having control over the oil supply to Europe. Do we want Russia to have control of Europe? They tend to cut off countries who don’t go along with them.
