One of the first things I usually do in the morning is to sit down and read the newspaper. The dog likes to curl up in my lap as I catch up on the comics and the news. It’s a nice way to start off the day but for the most part though I tend to get my news during the day from the internet, especially Google News and Yahoo News. Many of the articles I read in the paper are things that I read about the day before on the internet.

More and more people I know also get their news from the internet. This fact has made 2005 a rough year for newspapers as more and more people abandon them to the timely updates that can be found online. I don’t know what the future will hold in store for the traditional newspaper but I hope for my sake that they don’t disappear. My dog probably feels the same way.
