TomtheWombat sounds like a character who would be right at home at www.worldwidewombat.com. But TomtheWombat is actually a gnomie, who has created a nice little app for fellow gnomies and those they love. 8-)
You can read all about it here.
From their website:
RufuSS is an online news aggregator. It grabs RSS and Atom feeds off the internet and renders them in an simple interface. Best of all, RufuSS remember everything you have already read and is accessible anywhere there is a web browser!
RSS is an acronym for really simple syndication. RSS is a dialect of XML designed make syndicating content from news and blog sites much simpler.
There are plenty of RSS aggregators on the market. What makes RufuSS so special? RufuSS is completely integrated. Any unsyndicated links load into a frame in our interface. If the feed supports comments, there will be a link directly to the comments.
RufuSS also provides multiple views of the RSS feeds. There is a standard syndicated, individual item view. RufuSS also has a blog views, displaying every feed item on one page. Additionally, RufuSS has an unsyndicated view. This links out directly to the original article and is useful for feeds which only provide summarizations of the article.
