ICE that phone

Most people I know own a mobile/cell phone. The latest terrorist attack in London was a horrific scene that unfortunately will probably be repeated many times over my lifetime. The two things may seem unrelated but a simple thing to do with your phone born out of this tragedy may help rescuers and your loved ones in the case of an emergency.

This article in the BBC and in an email I received from a friend in the UK highlight something that anyone with a mobile should consider doing. Just put the following contact in your phone list: “ICE - In Case of Emergency” with a number and name of a person to contact. This simple idea could save rescuers time in case you are in a position where you are unable to speak and identify yourself, besides saving a lot of heartache and worry for your loved ones in the case of an emergency.

What Do You Think?
