A fairly large number of the people that I speak to about politics don’t really know for sure where they fit in. They agree with the conservatives on a couple of issues and with the liberals on a few others. This leaves people who haven’t been able to get information on other options with the choice between what they consider to be the “lesser of two evils.” The perceived lack of choice is what plays a large part in discouraging people from getting out and voting.

The Advocates for Self-Government have created a 10 question survey that they call “The World’s Smallest Political Quiz.” Based on your answers to the 10 Yes/No/Maybe questions, the system can plot which political group would fit best with your beliefs. Once you get the results of your quiz, there are links available to additional information resources about your specific political group.

I have personally given this quiz to hundreds of people and I’ve never known it to give an inaccurate result. If you have a couple of minutes to kill and would like to see if there’s another political option that suits you out there, head on over to their site and give it a shot.
