Bush Cheney Web Site Bars Access to Our Troops Overseas

The Washington Post is reporting that the Bush Cheney re-election Web site has barred access to visitors from outside the United States, after sustaining an online attack which took it down for several hours.

Boohoohoo… cry Aunty a river. When your site gets taken down, you don’t bar access to all of Earth (what message does that send about our President’s relationship to the rest of the world?), you fix your security, which, were it adequate to begin with, should have prevented the downtime.

So, for the past week, nobody from outside of the United States and Canada has been able to view the site, instead seeing a white screen which reads simply “Access denied: You don’t have permission to access www.georgewbush.com on this server.”

Wow, talk about disenfranchising not just U.S. citizens located around the world, but the very U.S. troops whom our Commander in Chief sent to Iraq and Afghanistan. [Continued...]
