New spin on DDos attacks… say the wrong domain

(Cheney Slip Sends Surfers to Wrong Site) Here is a unique DDos strategy: Get someone on the news to name your site’s URL. Then when you are getting “…100 [hits] a second…” redirect the site to someone else without letting them in on it.

“Soros was not advised of the switch and did not know it had taken place until Wednesday, said a spokesman, Jeremy Ben-Ami.”

Of course, it might be helpful, when you are picking a target, to pick someone who can’t afford/handle the traffic.
