Taking the fun out of driving

I love to drive. I’ve been driving vehicles before I was legally of age. There’s nothing like the thrill of a nice twisty road and sailing through it, though straight freeway driving can be quite boring. Thank goodness for cruise control! But technology is moving forward and changing the experience.
Spanish researchers have deleveloped a cruise control that keeps an eye on traffic. I’m all for safety, but at what point is the human factor going to be taken out of driving altogether in the name of safety? That’s the point where driving won’t be fun anymore, at least for me.
