Blabble: Shopping Buzz

  • No Related Post

Remember a few days ago I wrote about NewsByName? But wait, there’s more — Blabble, self-described as a blog analysis and research tool. Warning: it’s still in beta 2.0, but you can sign up to test it and subscribe to a mailing list. Sample searches, supposedly covering over four million blog entries, are listed on the landing page. Results are divided into “raw thoughts,” counts of phrases, time (volume), and tone (quality).

The Blabblers are currently classifying the buzz into “Market Groups,” which the site states “represent the direction we are growing into and we want additional comments and suggestions on these new tools. Blabble is growing from simple instance counts and phrase views to comparisions between similar companies, products, and services. One market will be selected and all custom beta testers will see the same data. Your data will continue to grow and be mined, but will be unavailable to view.” Some of these markets include: LL Bean, Costco, Victoria Secret, Banana Republic, and Gadzooks. Custom research is coming soon, they say, but you have to register and log in, even to see the Market Groups.

Send your buzz to Georganna at Writer’s Edge.
