If you’re a Star Trek fan (like me) one of the best bits of technology is the transporter. The ability to beam matter and reassemble it in another location would revolutionize the world. It may not be that far off.
According to this BBC article physicists have carried out successful teleportation with particles of light over a distance of 600m across the River Danube in Austria. While this is just a baby step in the grand scheme of things who knows where it will be in 20 years? In my opinion this technology would truly change the world as we know it.
