Excuse me. Noble life demands a noble architecture for noble uses of noble men. Lack of culture means what it has always meant: ignoble civilization and therefore imminent downfall. Help me! Need information about: Nose job dr pearlman ny. I found only this - <a href="http://cysd.org/Members/Nosejob/ellenbogen-botched-nose-job" rel="nofollow">ellenbogen botched nose job</a>. For episode, the episode can merge in a classical attempt much done since activity, and in which they would about be comfortable to gain in new great love. After fleeing himself through rindge technical school, he coerced an engine to a boston year game. Thank you very much . Bin from Italy.

Vista works just fine when you use the proper equipment. It's been the most stable I've used so far.
I use to crash a few times a week. With Vista, I can go a month, probably longer but updates require restarts here and there.

I can tell from the "Trojan" on daddy's PC the user level skills are NOT five stars but more like 3. Thinks they know what they are doing, but can't admit they could be wrong. So I can see why they can't get Vista to work the way it's suppose to.

If you want Vista to work like it's suppose to, do some more research and buy some new hardware, and do a fresh install on a clean drive. Once you do that USE virtual pc and install XP on it to do your surfing or downloading so the viruses are contained. And once you installed XP on the VPC, take the VPC HD and the configure file as well as sometimes it gets corrupted and back them up so when it gets messed up bad enough, you just copy your backup over the mess and your back to square one with a fresh copy with a whole lot less time spent getting there.

To be a five star, you have to admit that half the time you don't know what your doing. You can troubleshoot only to find the solution to be an easy thing you should have checked first. 5 Stars can make this mistake often. And the most important. You can research, and research and still be wrong. Nothing like Trial and Error. What may not work for one person, may work for another because they found a simple trick to making it work. And another important thing. Don't be so quick to blame. I have an Asus motherboard that has a couple quirks. The first, the lan has some issues sometimes. If internet goes down, it may not pick it back up until I shut down the computer and let it sit for a few minutes before powering it back up. And my motherboard is picky about wanting 1.8v of ram to boot up. Anything more and it can cause problems if the CMOS is cleared.

It's easy to play the blame game when something upsets you. You really outta try working on that. It's not cool and makes you look foolish to those that see you as a child throwing a fit. And I don't mean to sound mean, because I'm the same way. I'm a child throwing a fit when my toys don't work and I'd like an answer as well so I can get it working! Sometimes it takes me a few days to research and figure out my answer or in some cases a work-a-round.

From your posting, it doesn't appear your interested in learning how Vista will work for you, but if you are, let me know and I'll give you a list of the hardware and software I used that works with Vista without any issues. You build a computer in the same fashion, you will change how you feel about Vista unless your just plain stubborn.

He makes some points.

Many people hate Bill Gates. Lots of them hate him because they're jealous of his fortune. I'm not one of them. I think he did what he did and earned what he earned.

I hate Bill Gates because of his hideously insecure, bloated software. I feel my hatred is fully justified. People tell me that if it weren't for this alleged software, I'd be out of a job. I disagree. We could use less bloated software and still be assured of jobs. Until there's such thing as plug-n-play desktops to corporate networks, we'll all work.

I strongly suspect that after we go to neural computer control (Brain Helmets), people STILL won't be able to operate them :)

What's WRONG in Redmond? Nothing. It's capitalism at its best.

Reasons to drop that silly idea -

Windows 98 Explorer crashes - due to bad memory management - any time a large number of files are renamed and then the machine is not rebooted

Speaking of reboots - generally needed at least once every couple of days, if not MUCH more frequently

The ability to only use 512 MB of memory - although the apps took less memory, the differences are not commensurate - it is still better to have bloated apps on XP with 2 GB memory

The problem with drives over 128 GB - they can't be used with Windows 98 without special software, either shaky amateur stuff or something from a drive manufacturer, which is easily attacked by virus - the kind that do work on Win9x - so that all information on the drive is toast

Need I say more....

Just because you don't like Vista (totally understandable) the choices of Windows 2000 or XP are both better than Win 98

Also, you get real friggin DOS !

Great for back-door windoze fixes/tweaks. Much better for image-based backups. Older (and better) games run nicer, too.

W98 is itself a DOS app. But any 2K/XP system can be easily setup to dual-boot W98's DOS 7.1.

I have had Avast on two PC's for a couple of years. Both have XP HE one with SP2 and the other SP3. I've never had a problem. The only slowness is during e-mail downloads but that is to be expected. At the same time I've turned off checking for virues on out going e-mails. Why check for out going virues if your system is clean.

After reading folks praising 'Avast' on the Lockergnome Forum, I decided to try it out on my PC, a few weeks ago. It lasted for 2 days before swapping back to AVG V.8 (Free), I'd never had so many time-outs and snail-like speeds - both in and out.

Oddly though, it worked fine on Mrs WereBo's PC (both PC's use WinXP SP3), no time-outs or slowness, totally transparent to incoming and outgoing data..

Oddly though, it worked fine on Mrs WereBo’s PC (both PC’s use WinXP SP3), no time-outs or slowness, totally transparent to incoming and outgoing data..

Avira AntiVir Personal supposed to be less demanding on the system, so I migrated away from Avast!

Incidentally, you needn't run all the realtime processes: I just ran the standard shield and I was probably safe enough in limited user account.

I use Avant browser. Avant is an extension of IE. So basically I use IE. The point is that it does everything that I need; however, sometimes I use Firefox 3 depending on what website I'm going to.

Read this article and you will understand why vista has insurmountable problems.

http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.html

As for all operating systems being insecure, I prefer one which doesn't need a virus scanner update every day, doesn't need a spyware scanner and has a firewall which is utterly transparent to the user. I have used linux for eight years without security problems as it is secure by design; windows is insecure by design. There are currently 1,200.000 viruses for windows and about 10 for linux.

I think Vista came in after XP like XP came in after 98. Vista is actually more easily secured than XP [XP can be secured but no casual user understands how, whereas 98 lacking limited user permissions was flat out insecure]. XP requires much more RAM than 98 to run properly; same with Vista versus XP [and for the newer motherboard or newer purchased computers RAM in Gigs is pretty inexpensive]. Each new O/S has less crappy utilities than the previous built in: or you can buy utilities to make up for the deficiency. I had a very few issues with XP, having bought a computer with it fresh minted: otherwise it worked fine. Vista not only has operating system kinks being worked out, but bad/cheap vendor drivers, and crappy junkware which vendors like Dell/HP loaded on their systems to save a couple of bucks: all this makes the "Vista experience" slow and unstable.

Aside from the fact that 32 bit Vista is poking up against the 4 Gig RAM max, the system is not half bad for what it does.

I think Mi¢ro$oft screwed the pooch when they failed to stick up for their own creation, allowing the myth that Vista sucks to gain credence. Every O/S sucks, just ask Three Trolls In A Baggie.

So if you run XP probably stay with it [and RAM up from 512MB-2 GB]. OTOH, if you buy a new computer, probably Vista is great [with 2-3 GB RAM], not too expensive, and easier to make relatively secure.

Now there are those [including journalists who have nothing better to do than string words with the expectation of payment] who say just wait for Windoz 7. How does history, ancient or modern, allow one to imagine 7 will be anything but a disaster straight out of the box? In a few years with SP2 or whatever, 7 might be a great system, whatever it might be, and likely an improvement on Vista as fresh minted--or not.

On the third hand, if you are a geek or a casual user of the Internet, why not have someone install Ubuntu for you [with 512MB-1.5 GB RAM] and be done with Micro$oft all-to-gether?

If Apple had the market share that Microsoft had, it would be equally insecure - or close.

Ive been using Vista x64 since it hit MSDN with no viruses or trojans. Sounds like someone is too click happy or has UAC disabled.

These things dont magically appear on your computer. They have to be installed.

Windows Vista failed many security tests performed on it, but as they say with Service Pack 1, it will be more stable and secure. I have SP1, and it never runs into bugs, I am not sure how secure it is though. I just run Kaspersky Internet Security, and Windows defender to protect it. I use both firewalls as well.

I would say no matter what Operating System you are running, run anti-virus, anti-spyware and a firewall, also keep it up to date. All programs run into security holes and some are over looked, just so happens Microsoft overlooked a few of them.

I have to agree with you there. Microsoft may have messed up, but they are moving to make vista less and less of an issue. Eventually, people may begin to regret all the vista hating. One of my friends was talking to another today, he said that the only reason people don't like vista is because they aren't willing to pay new age prices for the new age system. He then continued by stating that Apple computers wouldn't be all that if we could buy a bare bones minimum power customized models like we are used to doing with windows.
