I remember the first time I coded that little declaration. It was a lot of bytes ago, but I’ll never forget how much fun it was to think that my instructions were making this huge (at that time) machine perform tricks.

Well, that thrill has never gone away, any more than an old pair of jeans in the closet. But progress progresses. While you can look forward to the latest news, I’ll couple it to a perspective that spans over 40 years of involvement in computers.

That means I have LOTS of opinions. I’ve seen everything from marvelous inventions to things that should have stayed in the closet (No! I did not mention the IBM™ Peanut!). I’m constantly on the prowl for interesting things. You’ll hear about the good, the bad, and the scams.
