I don’t understand this. It seems that nobody even cares. In this country of the United States, the arrest of some spoiled celebrity sparks more of an interest than global warming. Is this because the media presses these drunken escapades upon our screens?

Nowadays when I go on the Internet I get a banner asking me if Britney Spears is a good mother. Why in the hell should I care? As many problems as the world is having, you have the desire to ask me something as ridiculous as this? For the media to feel that I even care about such things, I take as a personal insult.

Now so you know, I am not an ecological expert by any means. As far as this issue goes, like the majority, I am still uneducated about the details of this crisis. But today as Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on the problem, I became interested because of the nobility of the prize itself. The prize has always been given to the one who led the way to overcome a major problem that has been plaguing our society at the time. So I feel that global warming is a major problem of our time.

It is true that we have plenty of other problems, but global warming is different. This is a threat to all humanity, and all life on our planet. I am not going to read statistics and preach on how you can help it. There are other people with higher credentials that can do this. Just take 15 minutes, “Google” Global Warming, and read up on it, and quit worrying about Paris and Lindsey’s personal lives.
