There is Nothing On TV… Ever!

I’m sitting here looking at the program guide for my cable service while I search for a reason why I pay more than $50 a month for cable. I have a wide selection of programming, but they all suck. Most of the programs are 10-year-old reruns. Other shows are reality TV shows that are replayed over and over again. I find myself having to resort to Netflix for anything new to watch. I know it’s Summer and there are no new shows, but you’d think with over 100 channels, there would be something.
Soon I think I’ll just need to get by without cable TV. I can watch most shows on the web or download them. Others come out eventually on DVD.

I haven’t owned a tv for 3 years. I watch all my shows via hulu, or http://www.sidereel.com, or I download them. All I have to do is wait a bit and my shows are online after they air!
As for live TV and sports games, you can get those at sites like http://www.tvchannelsfree.com/ and http://channelsurfing.net/
There ya go. Never need a TV again. Problem solved.

Dead right. And us net watchers don’t put up with all the ads either. I can’t watch half the rubbish that’s on, and the rest is stuff I’ve already seen. A man can only watch so many WW2 documentaries!

A man can never watch too many WW2 docs…:-) but you are right there is way too much crap on tv. I have had my fill of reality tv shows.
