6 Reasons the PS3 Will Be The King of Consoles

Here are 6 reasons why we will step back from the console wars 5 or 6 years from now and say that the Playstation 3 won.
1. If you buy the PS3 just for the Blueray player, it’s still the cheapest ones you can find.
2. Xbox’s reputation has suffered with consistent hardware issues such as the Red Ring of Death issue.
3. The Wii is too much on the kiddie side for true, hardcore gamers to consistently be satisfied with.
4. Sony is committed to the unit for 10 years no matter what.
5. New Metal Gear titles are exclusive to Sony.
6. Online play is free. Xbox Live costs $$$.

Well, 4. Sony may have said that they expect the console to have a 10 year lifecycle, but that doesn’t mean it won’t take the route of the ps2. The ps2’s lifecycle is still going but that doesn’t mean the latest games are coming out for it. There will be a ps4 or w/e along the ps3 during the middle-last part of the lifecycle.
5. Metal Gear Solid is not ‘the best game ever’. It’s like saying Halo is exclusive to Xbox so it will be best. The arguement doesn’t hold up either way.
