Baseball Not Good Enough For Olympics? Make it a Home Run Derby

When it comes to the Olympics, baseball has always suffered. Networks can’t carry many of the games because the games just take too long. It’s one of the reasons baseball has been left off of the 2012 Summer Olympics, and will likely be left off in 2016.
There are variations in all types of games in the Olympics. We have swimming, synchronized diving, synchronized diving, platform diving, beach volleyball and regular volleyball. Why can’t we have baseball in a different form? How about making it a home run derby? Seriously! How cool would it be to watch the 3 biggest guys from each country step up to the plate and work to take it deep? Networks would definitely carry it on their flagship station. Major League Baseball may even let a few of their players compete. I would watch!
