Sega DreamCast: The System We Never Knew

Back in 1999, my friend Mike told me how much he loved his DreamCast. He must’ve told me every day about the game he played the previous night on it. I once joined him in a game of Sega NFL2K Football and I have to admit, it was a blast. I loved the personal screen on the controller so you could select plays without the other player seeing. No matter how much I played the DreamCast, I didn’t care to buy one. Sony was coming out with the PS2 soon. I had made up my mind to put my money toward a pre-ordered PS2 bundle. I still continue to enjoy my PS2 to this day.
Looking back at the DreamCast though, I realize it was an overlooked system. The PS2 totally overshadowed the DreamCast. So nobody bought it even though it was an awesome system with awesome games.
Check out this movie about the DreamCast. Possibly the best system to never really catch on.
