There are many tools available that allow you to make your own video game. For the most part, they don’t allow you to do much though. I’ve looked into many of them and I haven’t been really impressed with their ability to create truly robust games.

Recently though, I got curious about the game IWBTG. I researched the company that made it and discovered they used a nifty program called Multimedia Fusion 2. The company Clickteam also has a lower end version of this software package called The Games Factory 2. I downloaded the demo and I am floored. The included tutorial taught me everything I need to know to make a pretty damn good game. You can add your own photos and sounds to your custom game and the software easily handles the rest.

There goes my weekend! I’m makin’ my own Chuck Norris game!
