It’s 30 Degrees In May? Global Warming My Ass!

The other day I spoke with a gentleman from here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota about the weather. The temperature here is like that of the rest of the nation, much cooler than usual. It was in the 30’s here on Friday. After I expressed how unusual the weather has been, he says to me “Yeah! global warming my ass!” He then started saying how the cooler weather across the nation is proving the global warming theory incorrect. I wasn’t going to bother explaining to him that global warming isn’t just about the temperature being warmer. It’s about tremendous shifts in the weather around the globe.
Examples would be:
- Major drought in Georgia and Tennessee
- Snow in California in May
- Harsh tornado’s in California
- 75 degree weather in Chicago in December
- Lemons growing outdoors in Victoria British Columbia Canada
All of these unusual types of weather events happened recently, and have been happening with great frequency around the globe. The unusual climate only proves global warming to be true, whether it’s colder or warmer weather. If you still believe that global warming is just a theory, I recommend that you watch An Inconvenient Truth, and check your opinion again.

Unfortunately, many that I speak to believe that it’s a scam AFTER watching ‘An Inconvenient Truth’.
A truism from my mother’s generation was ‘You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink’, also I believe ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see’ applies.
It simply proves the gross ignorance of people in this country. I believe if a scientific poll was taken worldwide, the people of this nation would be in the lower half. (Makes me wonder how we send astronauts into space anymore, as all the idiots of that ilk flatly state the space program is also wasted money.)

Many people are not convinced by Al Gore and his inconvenient truth.
There are many factors affecting climate.
From the ice cores we have learned that carbon dioxide has in the past both increased and decreased without any human intervention.
You are utterly wrong to call people with opinions different from your own “idiots”
