Leopard: Make Time Machine Run Backup Now

How to make the Leopard Time Machine run the backup right now.
1. Run Terminal from the Utilities folder.
2. Type /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd.bundle
/Contents/Resources/backupd-helper &
The ampersand at the end runs the backup in the background.
Alternately, you can right-click/control click on the Time Machine icon in the dock and click Back Up Now.

I’m going to need this for later. My MacBook Pro has been bugging me for some Leopard for a while now.
I hear the update is going to have over 100 bug fixes? To which I said, there were over 100 bugs? lol…

I used your command and made an Automator program to run that shell script. Then I set the shortcut button on my LaCie external drive to run the backup program. Thanks!
