iMovie Limitations Not Withstanding

There should be an image here!Faking a bogus Universal Pictures Intro. It’s been done to death and to be honest, is hardly anything worth Universal getting too worked up over. Despite this, it seems that iMovie is now making it impossible to make one of these Universal Pictures intros for home movies and other related concepts.

Actually, that is not entirely true. You can still use the cool globe spinning effects. It’s only the word “Universal” that is not able to be used during the sequence. As to how the specifics of all of this came to light, is anyone’s guess.

At the end of the day, I guess this all comes down to protecting trademarks and helping Apple avoid yet more frivolous lawsuits. And if that means forcing users to use words for their intros not of concern in this area, I guess that is a small price to pay in Apple’s eyes.

Can someone confirm that it works only with an image widht of 288px or smaller?

I tried different color palettes and filesizes and lengths of image sequence. For me it seems only to depend on the image size, but I remember that I’ve seen bigger animated gifs on Google+…

i am going to not necessarily CONFIRM that it’s only if it is 288 or smaller, but i will say that, off of your comment, i resized a gif that wasn’t animating in my stream to 288 and it then worked.

How do you share individual photos? I can only find a Share Album button, no “Share Photo”. I just want to pick one photo from an album and share it to my stream. Is this possible?
